An opportunity to become acquainted with the Brain Sciences Building and hear about this project that extends across six floors and an area of 15,000 m 2. The building, whose intricate blueprint consists of labs, an imaging center and more, enables the best brain researchers to work in the largest facility of its kind in the country. Its design complies with the Israeli Green Building Standard and special emphasis is placed on energy efficiency. The façade of the building, which was inspired by drawings made by the scientist Santiago Ramon y Cajal, is decorated with digital images of actual neurons. The roof and shell of the building incorporate materials that were used in Israel for the first time: aluminum grids and transparent ETFE panels.
