025 A Jeruz Tour

Meeting place: the corner of Simtat Bezalel and Shmuel HaNagid St.

A tour in memory of Aner Shapira, a Jerusalem native and enthusiast, who was murdered on October 7th while bravely defending his friends in a portable bomb shelter. He tried to fend off the terrorists and saved lives. The tour will be led by his father, the architect Moshe Shapira, who has been an Open House Weekend Jerusalem partner and colleague for the past 18 years. The tour will pass through the city center, from the old Bezalel building to the new Bezalel campus, while pointing out heritage values, people, and buildings that have been designated historical landmarks. Shapira will pay tribute to the city that Aner loved so much.
