Lectures and tours by the hotel’s current architect, Michael Schwartz, which will recount the story behind this iconic building. It is one of the oldest hotels in Jerusalem, whose eye-catching design has over the years become an integral part of the Jerusalem landscape. During the lectures, Schwartz will talk about the ideas and sources of inspiration that formed the foundation of the design chosen by the late Yaakov Rechter – a recipient of the Israel Prize for Architecture. He will also point out how they are being implemented today in the changes made to the hotel, while at the same time preserving its architectural character and identity.

Following the lectures, participants will be given a guided tour of the common areas in the hotel, as well as some of the elegant suites.
