78 American Colony Hotel

1 Louis Vincent St. (next to Damascus Road)

Architect: unknown, late 19th century; compound architects: Michael Schwartz & Associates, 1992-2018

A glimpse of the inner workings of this compound – originally a mansion owned by Rabah El Husseini, a member of Jerusalem’s Arab aristocracy. It was later occupied by members of the American Colony in Jerusalem, and currently is a hotel with a distinct international flair, surrounded by lush gardens.

Led by the hotel’s architects, the tours will include both the old and new sections of the building.
