58 The Isaac Kaplan Old Yishuv Court Museum
Located in a 500-year-old building in the Jewish Quarter, the museum is one of two ancient courtyard homes that are still intact there. The museum depicts how people lived in Jerusalem’s Jewish Quarter prior to the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948, illustrated through a number of permanent and temporary exhibitions.
The following exhibitions are currently on display at the museum: Being a Tourist in the Land of Israel – which examines Jerusalem through the eyes of tourists during the late Ottoman period and the British Mandate period; and Mizrach – which showcases Mizrach plaques from the museum’s collection.
The museum is not wheelchair accessible.
