40 From the Armenian Cemetery to the Quarter

Meeting point: Jaffa Gate

These tours offer an opportunity to become acquainted with the hidden world of the Armenians in Jerusalem. They will be led by Michal Ben Attar, a tour guide who researched the Armenian Brotherhood during her M.A. studies in Anthropology at the Hebrew University, and whose thesis dealt with the Armenian Patriarchate. The 90-minute tour will include the Armenian cemetery, which is usually closed to the public, and continue from there to the Armenian Quarter, the seminary for priests in training, the monument commemorating the genocide of the Armenian people, the courtyards in the Armenian Quarter, and more.
