94 Immanuel Church and the Protestant Compound

Next to Jaffa Gate, across from the Tower of David.

Architect: James Wood Johns, 1849

Guided tours of the oldest Protestant church in the Middle East, which contains Jewish motifs and is concealed within a guesthouse compound. Expert stonecutters from Malta were commissioned to build the church, who also trained the later generations of stonecutters in Jerusalem.

The compound also houses a heritage center that features a unique collection of models that were built in the 19th century by the renowned architect Conrad Schick.

Guided tours in Hebrew, English and Russian will be conducted every 30 minutes.
