Yad Sarah Center, 124 Herzl Blvd.

Architect: Pascual Broid, 1998

A chance to become acquainted with the amazing undertaking of Yad Sarah through these tours of the organization’s main facility in Jerusalem. The building extends across eight floors and an area of roughly 40,000 m2. It houses the variety of services provided by Yad Sarah in addition to its headquarters, which operates 128 branches throughout the country. The building’s design was inspired by a ship with a sail alongside of it – the exterior fire escape stairs made of steel.

The 90-minute tours will tell the story behind the founding of the organization by Rabbi Uri Lupolianski (the former mayor of Jerusalem) and its widespread activities. They will also focus on the architecture of the building and its surprising and impressive functions: the emergency room, the call center, the pharmacy, the logistics center, the motel, and more.
