167 Sergei’s Courtyard and the Russian Seminary

13 Heleni HaMalka St.

Architect: Frank Gia, 1890; Restoration architect: Uri Padan, 2017

One of the compounds in the city known for its beauty, which in the past was a hostel for Russian pilgrims. After that, it housed a pavilion of the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel and the Council for Conservation of Heritage Sites. In 2017, following its renovation and restoration, it was returned to its original use. Visitors will be able to tour the garden and see the chapel (visiting the chapel is possible only between 12:00 and 14:00).

On both Fridays at 14:00, there will be tours led by Uri Padan, who was in charge of restoring the compound.

On both Saturdays at 14:00, there will be tours led by Dr. Ameen Safia, who manages the compound and is the Honorary Consul General of the Russian Federation in Israel.

The 45-minute tours will leave from 13 Heleni Malka Street. They will include a visit in the chapel and in the small museum on the premises.

There is also a café in the garden.
