48 The Colorful Apartment
A visit at a small leased apartment that is situated in a unique historical building. Located next to the Ratisbonne Monastery, it was built in the late 19th century by the Christian-Arab Qattan family. The building features Jerusalem architectural elements that were prevalent in that period – vaults, a cistern, decorated tiles and arched openings.
This second-floor apartment was designed by a fashion design student who attended Bezalel. She created a colorful and eclectic design language that integrates her personal life and creative endeavors. It incorporates items from her childhood, collections, works of art, and projects that she did during her student years.
