Meeting point: HaHurva Square, Jewish Quarter, Old City

A walking tour led by Prof. Doron Bar, a historical geographer and Jerusalem researcher, following the publication of his book On Both Sides of the Wall: The Israelization of Jerusalem’s Old City (Resling Publishing). It describes how political, religious and architectural considerations have influenced development processes in the Old City. During the tour, Bar will illustrate how new and restored residences, archaeological excavations, synagogues and historical sites have been melded together into a complex architectural composition.

The 90-minute tour will end in the Jewish Quarter.
