75 They Say It Once Bloomed Here
The Training Farm for Women operated out of two buildings on the Armon HaNatziv ridge, adjacent to the ‘palace’ that gave the ridge its name. During these tours with the historical geographer Dr. Eldad Brin, he will recount the special story behind the farm that was founded by Rachel Yanait Ben-Zvi, as well as the structures that were in use there. The two structures, designed by the architects Leopold Krakauer and Richard Kaufmann in the 1930s, are prime examples of the International Style and both have been designated historical landmarks.
During the 90-minute tours, Brin will also share the story behind Jerusalem’s first airport and the prestigious Arab college that were in operation nearby.
It will not be possible to enter the buildings during the tours.
