In recent years, the Knesset has taken steps to expand its art collection and enrich it with works of Israeli contemporary art. The aim is that the art collection reflect the intricate mosaic of the moods and trends found in the Israeli art scene today. In 2025, the Knesset also allocated a space for works of artists whose lives were directly affected by the Swords of Iron War.

The tour at the Knesset will include a session with Sharon Sofer, the Knesset’s curator, and with two artists whose works were recently purchased. Additionally, tour participants will be shown sections of the building the access to which is normally restricted.

Due to the work of the Central Elections Committee in the building, the Chagall State Hall will be excluded from the visit.

The two-and-a-half-hour tour includes a reception.

Due to the security arrangements at the Knesset, participants must sign up for the tour in advance and provide their ID number when doing so. They should arrive at the main entrance to the Knesset (Palombo Gate) at least 30 minutes before the start of the tour, where they will be required to present an ID card, driver’s license or passport. Participants must be at least 16 years of age.

Bringing bags or weapons into the Knesset is prohibited.

Visitors must also abide by the Knesset’s dress code, which is strictly enforced.
