71 Jewelry Making: Past & Present

Guided tours of an exhibition currently on display at the Museum for Islamic Art, which showcases jewelry works associated with the three monotheistic religions. The works, which reflect a period spanning around 1,000 years, were created especially for the exhibition by 45 Israeli jewelry makers, inspired by the Museum’s rare Islamic jewelry collection. The tours will begin with a brief explanation about the modernist stone building that houses the Museum and incorporates local elements (such as arches and vertical narrow windows).
