059 Eli Amir's Rehavia

Meeting place: will be provided after signing up for the tour

A tour of Rehavia that will examine the neighborhood as seen through Eli Amir’s new book, Bicycle Boy. The story, which takes place in the 1950’s and 1960’s, revolves around the protagonist Nuri – a sixteen-year-old boy and new immigrant from Baghdad – who is sent to Jerusalem by his father ahead of the rest of the family. Nuri’s character is based on Eli Amir’s own experience. The tour, led by the guide Nurit Basel, will focus on the Rehavia described in the book by Nuri – the streets, the houses and the people he met.
