058 My Rehavia

Meeting place: the corner of 48 King George St. and Keren Kayemet St., in the yard of the National Institutions Building (Jewish Agency)

Rehavia was established in the 1920’s as a serene garden neighborhood. Following its establishment, it continued to grow and develop until becoming an iconic and bustling neighborhood in the downtown area. Dr. Elan Ezrachi, who was born and lives in Rehavia and is the grandson of one of the first families who settled there, leads these two-hour tours. He will tell the stories surrounding the founders and the well-known institutions in the neighborhood, the most prominent one being the former President’s Residence, which was located in the neighborhood for twenty years. Ezrachi will also talk about the changes that Rehavia has undergone in the hundred years of its existence.
