A glimpse behind the scenes of the Tower of David Museum restoration and refurbishment project, located in the ancient Jerusalem citadel near Jaffa Gate. There will be two sessions with the architect Yotam Cohen-Sagi, from Kimmel-Eshkolot Architects, and the museum designers, Chanan and Tal De Lange, who will discuss the restoration dilemmas that arise when working on a historic building of such great importance, which are balanced against the refurbishment and accessibility needs of the museum that operates there. The tours of the site will be led by Eilat Lieber, the Museum’s director and chief curator.
Participants are required to wear closed-back shoes.
