118 The Great Leaders of the Nation's Plot

Come and get acquainted with a project that was advanced in the past decade by the Prime Minister’s Office together with the Ministry of Defense, which entailed the repair, renovation and enlargement of the Great Leaders of the Nation’s Plot on Mount Herzl. The concourse surrounding the gravesites where most of Israel’s presidents and prime ministers are buried was renovated and enlarged, the plot was made wheelchair accessible, and a new concourse for ceremonies, a terrace and a memorial garden were added.

The tours on Thursday will be led by the project managers: the engineer, Lior Kakon, who heads the Central District Project Management Division at the Ministry of Defense’s Engineering and Construction Department, the architect, Yuval Atias, and Shiran Castro.

The tours on Friday will be led by the Landscape Architects Leor Lovinger, Ilona Flaksman and Lotem Blank.

On both days, the tours will last about 60 minutes.
