Architects: Weinstein Vaadia Architects, 2009

An opportunity to hear about the first live structure of its kind in Israel, located at the Jerusalem Bird Observatory – which is a unique urban-community nature site devoted to studying avian behavior in a city setting. The tours will include a look at the flora and fauna system incorporated in the structure’s walls and roof, as well as a guided observation of the different natural habitats and wild animals found within the observatory’s domain – viewed from a concealed lookout point.

Participants will also be shown how to develop urban nature in the yards of their homes.

On Friday at 12:00, there will be a tour dealing with the project’s design, led by the architect, Eyal Gvirtzman.
